Your first Woofly booking: a decision checklist for pet parents

Check the pet, address, service, price and appointment details before confirming your first at-home grooming visit with Woofly.

To book your first Woofly visit, select the correct pet and home address, choose a suitable package, review the total and save the confirmed appointment details. Use this guide for the booking itself; once confirmed, follow the home-preparation checklist linked below.

Check the pet and the actual service address

Open the Woofly booking app and review the selected pet and location. For a family member's pet or a visit at another home, verify where grooming will happen and who will receive the team.

A saved pet profile or address can still be wrong for today's visit. Check the name, species and requested details, then provide current coat and handling information through the available booking or support route.

Use pet details before booking for information that may change the plan. Our address guide covers gates, towers and arrival instructions without relying on a landmark alone.

Decision What to confirm
Pet The correct animal and current care information.
Address The actual home, entrance and person receiving the team.
Service The tasks included and any request still needing assessment.
Price The current total and applicable additional charges.
Appointment The confirmed date and time, with a workable household plan.

Choose the service before confirming the booking

Use the package comparison if you are deciding between washing, hygiene work and a body haircut. Then return to the booking app and check the actual inclusions for the selected pet and address. Save any special request with the confirmed service rather than relying on a package name alone.

Share anything that could change the visit

Tell the team about painful areas, compacted fur, previous incomplete sessions, product reactions and veterinary instructions. Give observations rather than expecting the first groomer to know the pet's history.

If your pet is unwell or has a new painful area, seek veterinary advice before routine grooming. Do not book a cosmetic service as a substitute for assessing the problem. Do not give medication simply to make a first appointment possible without veterinary direction.

Cornell's cooperative-care guidance explains the value of comfortable, gradual handling. Use that principle to discuss what would make the professional pause, rather than expecting every listed task to be completed regardless of the pet's response.

Review the price and change process

Website city prices are approximate. Confirm the current total for the selected pet, address and service, and clarify any additional work before approving it. A custom request needs a complete scope and cost, not only a starting amount.

Check refunds and cancellations before confirming so you know how to request changes. If a payment or booking status is unclear, keep the reference shown and ask support to check it before making another booking solely to solve the uncertainty.

After confirmation, prepare for the visit

Share the confirmed details with the adult who will receive the team. Use home preparation for the workspace, water and household checklist. This keeps practical setup separate from completing the booking.

Save and check the confirmation

Review the date, time, pet, address and package again. Share the confirmed plan with the person at home and keep the booking reference. If something is wrong, request the correction and check the outcome rather than assuming a sent message updates the visit.

At handover, record what was completed, anything deferred and useful care advice. That first service record makes the next booking easier because it captures what worked for your pet.

Can I request the same groomer next time?

Yes. Request your previous groomer through WhatsApp or Freshchat in the Woofly app before the appointment. Share the previous booking reference or groomer details and your preferred date. By default, Woofly assigns a partner at random, so a repeat booking does not automatically bring the same person. The team must confirm your requested assignment.

What if my pet is frightened or has tried to bite?

Tell the team before booking what happened, which task triggered it and what helped the pet settle. Do not promise that holding the pet still will make every task possible. Use the grooming-comfort guide to prepare the discussion, and agree what should happen if a task cannot continue safely.
