Hygiene trimming

Basic Grooming combines a hygiene haircut, bath and blow-dry. Basic Grooming without bath may fit a request for hygiene trimming alone.

Dog haircuts and full grooming

Full Grooming includes a full body haircut, bath and blow-dry. A without-bath option is also listed. Agree on a coat-appropriate finish before work starts.

Every coat is different

Plan around their coat.

Short coats

A short coat still benefits from brushing and checking for changes in the skin. A full haircut is not automatically the right choice.

Long or curly coats

Discuss the finish you want and the brushing routine you can maintain. Show the groomer any tangles before agreeing on a trim.

Double coats

Loose undercoat and haircut needs are different questions. Discuss brushing and coat maintenance rather than assuming a close shave is needed in warm weather.

Before the doorbell rings

A little preparation goes a long way.

Choose a clear workspace and confirm water and electricity requirements with the team.
Tell the groomer about reactions to dryers, paw handling or unfamiliar people, and share any veterinary restrictions.
Give your dog a chance to toilet before arrival, and keep other pets away from the working area.
Show reference photos if useful, but discuss what is realistic for your dog’s coat and its current condition.

What to expect

During the visit

Start with a discussion of the package, coat condition and preferred finish. Let the groomer know how your dog usually communicates discomfort. If your dog becomes distressed, pause and agree whether to adjust or stop the session.

After the session

Before the groomer leaves, review the completed work together, raise any concerns and ask about brushing between visits. Keep a note of the chosen finish for the next appointment.

When it is better to pause.

If your dog is unwell, has painful skin, wounds or severe matting, speak to your vet before arranging routine grooming. Tell the team about the concern rather than booking a standard package to treat it. Grooming does not diagnose or treat illness.

How often should I book dog grooming?

There is no single interval for every dog. Coat type, activity and home maintenance affect the plan. Agree on a schedule for brushing, bathing and haircuts separately, and follow veterinary advice for skin conditions.

Does every dog need a full haircut?

No. Choose the service around the coat and the actual task. A bath, brushing routine or hygiene trim may be more suitable than a full haircut.

Can I book for a puppy or an older dog?

Share age, health, mobility and previous grooming experience before booking. Ask your vet about any restrictions, then discuss a manageable introduction or adapted visit with the team.

Are nail trimming and ear cleaning included?

Check the selected package’s current inclusions in the app. Do not assume an extra service is included because the package is called Full Grooming; confirm specific requests before the visit.

How long does a visit take?

Ask for an estimate based on your dog’s size, coat condition and package. Allow room for setup and breaks; a fixed duration cannot be promised for every dog.
