Make the booking identify the actual home, then explain how to reach its entrance. A locality name or nearby landmark can help someone approach the area, but it does not replace the building, flat and access details needed for a home visit.
Most address preparation is a short check: the right saved location, the correct entrance and a reachable person at the property. Do it before confirming, especially if you are booking for someone else or using an address you have not visited recently.
Check the destination before the directions
Review the city, locality, building or society name, flat or house number and postcode where requested. If the booking app offers a map location, check that it points to the intended property rather than a nearby road or another entrance.
Use the Woofly cities directory to explore service areas, then check available services and appointments for the full address in the booking app. A city listing does not establish that your preferred time is available.
If you are staying with family or have moved, inspect the selected saved address again. Changing a profile entry should not be assumed to update an already confirmed appointment; check that booking separately.
| Detail | What the team needs to understand |
|---|---|
| Destination | The home where the pet will actually be groomed. |
| Entrance | The usable gate, tower or reception point. |
| Access | Relevant security procedures, stairs or lift restrictions. |
| Equipment route | Parking or unloading rules and any difficult approach. |
| Contact | The person who can answer arrival questions and admit the team. |
Describe the last part of the journey
Large complexes can have several gates and buildings with similar names. Mention the correct gate first, then the tower or reception point. Add a landmark only when it resolves a specific ambiguity.
For example: “Use Gate 2, ask security for Tower B, then take the lift to flat 504. The person at home will answer the booking contact number.” This is an illustrative format; use your actual details and the contact arrangement agreed with the team.
Avoid mixing several alternative routes in one long note. If an entrance is closed at the appointment time, identify the usable one. A concise current instruction is easier to follow than an old message with several corrections attached.
Check access for people and equipment
Ask building management about visitor entry and any restrictions that affect the visit. Mention stairs, a non-working lift or a long walk from parking before arrival. The team needs to assess the route with its equipment, not discover a constraint at the door.
Do not promise a visitor parking space you cannot provide. Explain the actual arrangement and let the team confirm whether it works. If access needs advance permission, arrange that through your building's normal process.
The Woofly FAQ explains that grooming takes place in a suitable area inside the home. Reaching the building is only part of preparation: use the apartment workspace guide to plan the working area too.
Make the arrival contact useful
If someone else will receive the groomer, share the confirmed pet, service and time with them. They should know the agreed workspace and how to contact the person who can approve changes to the service.
Keep entry doors controlled while equipment is being carried in. Arrange a comfortable place for the pet away from the opening door, rather than relying on everyone to watch the entrance while answering calls and moving bags.
Do not post access codes, full addresses or contact numbers in public reviews. Use the booking or official support route for necessary arrival instructions. Never send an account password or login OTP as part of directions.
Confirm any change to the service location
If the visit must happen elsewhere, send the booking reference and new address through Woofly contact and support. Ask whether the existing service and time can be retained. A nearby address still requires confirmation rather than an assumption that the assigned team can simply divert.
Keep the resulting confirmation with the booking and tell the person at the original address. Our appointment-change guide explains how to distinguish a request from an agreed update. On the day, one final check of the selected location can prevent an avoidable arrival problem.
